In The Beginning...

What better place to start then the beginning.  In 2004, our family consisted of two adults, three kids, a few dogs, a couple cats, and “in the backyard”, four horses. It was not a sustainable situation.  We needed more room.

And then one day the realtor called – she found a place just down the road… It had over 8 acres, a barn and a house that would be considered a “tear down” by the rest of the world.  But we saw the potential in the house (that was built around the end of the Civil War!). With beautiful old cherry and apple wood walls, four lovely working fireplaces, thick plaster walls and did I mention OVER 8 acres?!  It needed a lot of work but we had to go for it.
