Royal Palm Turkeys

I free-range raise Royal Palm turkeys.  These beautiful birds are considered very endangered and are on the “watch” list of the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy.  While they are not typically raised for meat because of their smaller size, they are wonderful egg producers. And they are a lovely addition to any farm because of their distinctive coloration, friendliness and intelligence.  I have my turkeys with my chickens and find that they will alert the chicken (and me) to any danger.
